Religious Wedding
If one or both of you are Catholic and wish to have a catholic wedding but wish to deal with all the planning of your wedding yourselves then this service is perfect for you. We will guide you through each step until the end of the ceremony and we will make sure you receive the wedding certificate to prove you are legally married. Listed below are the services which we would provide to assist you with the legalities involved in having a religious wedding in Italy.
- Information, advice and assistance with all the paperwork required by the Italian authorities.
- Booking of the Church
- Sourcing of an English speaking priest to conduct the ceremony
- Liaison with the Italian parish priest and submission of all necessary documentation to the Italian Curia in order to obtain permission to marry.
- Liaison with the British consulate in Florence to obtain the necessary permissions.
- Checking all original documents before submission to the Consulate(s). Consulates request that you do NOT send your original papers directly to them.
- Collection, on production of original documents [except passports], from the Consulate(s) in Florence and Rome of the Nulla Ostas (Italian Certificates of No-Impediment to Marriage).
- Liaison with the local commune for the wedding ceremony and associated documentation
- Translations and interpretations (required by law for foreigners at the Dichiarazione and the civil ceremony).
- For non-EC citizens – submission of the marriage certificate(s) to the Italian authorities for the required Apostille.
